Through its training and continuing education activities, the CHL aims to:

  • Shift the perspective from "aging as loss" to "longevity as an opportunity."
  • Counter the ageist stereotype that tends to face longevity as an unchangeable factor for individuals and their environments.
  • Create opportunities for self-determination among older adults by identifying stigma-driven limitations and fostering empowerment for healthy aging.
  • Provide education opportunities for future professionals (not only in the social-health sector) to equip them with specific knowledge addressing the ongoing demographic shift.
  • Offer lifelong learning opportunities for people of all ages, able to integrate sensory, cognitive, and motivational changes that come with aging while leveraging learning potential and knowledge enrichment.
  • Educate communities about the possibility of intergenerational interaction to promote well-being across all stages of life.
