INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP
On 27th and 28th October, leading international academic experts will gather at the University of Bergamo to discuss the theme of “Aging in Place”.
They will be guests of the CHL (Centre for Healthy Longevity), the university’s research and third mission center, which is celebrating its first year of activity by presenting the results of the CASA (Condizioni Abitative in SAlute) project, funded by PNRR Age.it, to the citizens of Bergamo and professionals in healthcare, urban planning, and both public and private administrative sectors.
It will be an opportunity to present the Living Vulnerability Index for Longevity, calculated for selected neighborhoods in the city of Bergamo. This tool is designed to support urban planning and the development of environments conducive to healthy longevity. The findings will provide new guidelines for the creation of stimulating living spaces aimed at promoting successful aging to the greatest extent possible.
Bergamo and its University aim to become a benchmark for medium-sized cities striving to grow and thrive in the years ahead. This provides a foundation for new guidelines to designed living environments that are both stimulating and protective, fostering healthy longevity.
